The Stevens Point Area Retired Teachers Association held its annual spring book sale last week in the cafeteria/gymnasium at the former Jackson School, 1900 W. Zinda Drive.

The sale included hardcover and paperback fiction, children's, nonfiction, classics, foreign language, health, art and gardening books as well as CDs, DVDs, books on tape, records, magazines, dictionaries and more. One of the new features at this sale was the Collector's Corner, where collectors and book sellers will find books of greater value.

The next sale will be held Oct. 23-26. Proceeds from the spring and fall sales are used for scholarships and donations to more than 30 community organizations. To make a donation, call 715-344-2598.
