Police: Suicide precedes crash on U.S. 41

Police said a 31-year-old Neenah man died by suicide early Monday while driving south on U.S. 41 before his car crashed near Capitol Drive.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

"It originally came across as a single-vehicle accident, but upon investigating, we found a gunshot wound to him," Sgt. Todd Zolkowski said. "It appears self-inflicted." ...
