Wisconsin home sales remain strong in February

State realtors group reports 20 consecutive months of double-digit gains

The Wisconsin real estate market no longer is in a recovery mode but appears red hot.

The Wisconsin Realtors Association on Monday reported February sales of existing homes across the state were up 11.7 percent when compared to the same month last year. It marked the 20th straight month of double-digit sales increases.

"The housing market has been on a strong growth path since the summer of 2011," said Renny Diedrich, chairman of the WRA board of directors and a broker with Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group in Appleton. ...
