It's Your Call

Rep. Tom Petri

VOTE COUNT: A letter writer recently pointed out that Rep. Reid Ribble voted against the Violence Against Women Act. It so happens that Rep. Tom Petri also voted against it. Are we to assume these two Republicans support violence against women? If not, will they explain to the readers of The Post-Crescent why they voted against this legislation? It would appear that the Republican Party is the leading protagonist of misogyny in America today with its attack on abortion rights and birth control. It's time the voters of this country retire these political abusers of women and vote them out of office in 2014, along with the congressional mediocre nonentities representing the Sixth and Eighth congressional districts in Wisconsin - Petri and Ribble.
