Express your creativity while learning the basics of pottery making. During "Creating With Clay," participants learn to throw pots on a potter's wheel, construct coil objects and tool and glaze their projects. "All tools, glaze and clay are included in the fee, so just bring a positive attitude and a smile," said instructor Amber Weyers.

Weyers, who has taught art at Ripon High School, in Ripon for 14 years, holds a Master's degree in fine arts. During the class, students experience working with clay and glaze, as they create several pottery objects. "At the end of the class, they take home all of their creations, including several coil and hand-thrown bowls," said Weyers.

Creating With Clay (CRN 30831) will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., every Tuesday from April 2-16, at Ripon High School.

To register, call 800-472-4554; to discover more, visit morainepark.edu. Registration deadline is March 26. Class fee is $33.25 (62 or over $25.94).
