WELS schools purchase, package food for people in Malawi

People in the African country of Malawi will have thousands of meals thanks to the efforts of students and staff from Lakeshore Lutheran Schools, a consortium of Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Schools in Manitowoc County and five other eastern Wisconsin counties.

The 14 participating schools raised nearly $20,000 to purchase commodities, and students came from throughout the region to Manitowoc Lutheran High School, one of the schools in the partnership, to measure, bag and box them.
