A winter weather advisory remains in effect for the region until 10 a.m. today as west winds from 15 to 25 mph gust to 35 mph, according to the National Weather Service of Green Bay.

This is expected to produce considerable blowing and drifting snow, especially on north-south roads in rural areas. Near whiteout conditions are possible for open areas where wind gusts climb to around 35 mph.
