March is tournament time for bowling, as well as basketball. Area youth bowlers participated in statewide competitions during the first two weekends of the month.

The inaugural season of high school club bowling in Door County wound up with the Sevastopol team placing 10th out of 17 teams in Division II. Individually, Holly Minahan came within 14 pins of making the cut for the girls championship round. In all, not a bad showing for the first year.

At the Junior State Tournament, Adam LaLuzerne rolled series of 696, 685 and 601 in the three events (team, singles and doubles). Also throwing 600+ ...
