A man found dead outside his car in a Bellevue parking lot early Tuesday has been identified as David Umentum, 62.

Umentum was found lying on the ground outside his car in the parking lot of Keith's Bar, 3234 Manitowoc Road, according to Brown County Medical Examiner Al Klimek.

Tracks in the snow indicated Umentum tried to get into his car and found the door frozen, so he made his way to the passenger side, where he fell, probably around 10:30 p.m. Monday, Klimek said. Because of a previous medical condition and slippery conditions, he couldn't get to his feet and died of exposure, Klimek said.

The temperature was about 5 degrees at 10:30 p.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Klimek has ordered toxicology analysis.
