Women's basketball: UWGB gets extra rest before preparing for LSU

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay women's basketball team was given Monday and Tuesday off in preparation for its NCAA tournament first-round game against LSU in Baton Rouge, La., on Sunday night.

The Phoenix played three games in five days last week on its way to the Horizon League tournament title, and a little time to relax appeared to be in order.

"I think it was good to be able to rest," UWGB coach Kevin Borseth said. "It's an exciting time of year." ...
