A decision regarding the long-term home of the girls state basketball tournament remains in question, but the WIAA plans to reach a verdict on the future of the event before it returns to the Resch Center next year.

PMI Entertainment Group, which manages the facility, is hopeful the positive response it's received from hosting the event for the first time this past week could lead to the tournament staying in Green Bay permamently.

In the first of a two-year agreement to bring the event to the Green Bay area, attendance for the state tournament increased 31 percent from a 27-year low of 30,353 ...
