Clark County pet of the week: Dana
I think it's about time that someone came and took me home. I've been at the shelter longer than any cat here. I guess it's my personality. You know, I'm just not a real trusting cat, so I stay away from people when they come to visit me.
I'm a pretty light orange-colored cat, weigh about 7pounds and I'm 10 years old. I think you should stop in to meet me. If I'm not exactly what you're looking for, I'll bet one of the others here will be just right.
If you think you could provide a good home for me or any of the other pets here, go to the website and check out the pictures and descriptions. Most of the cats cost $30 (some only $10) to adopt. Most of the dogs cost only $60. You can apply to adopt online or in person at the shelter. There are 27 cats or kittens and 21 dogs or puppies here now. Surely we will have one that would be just right for you.
There are so many wonderful cats up for adoption at CCHS right now. We are offering any two cats for the price of one during this time. This includes a lot of cats that have already been spayed/neutered, blood-tested, vaccinated, micro-chipped and treated for internal and external parasites. If you were ever thinking of getting a cat or two, this is a great time to do it.
Have some fun! Stop in just to visit. If you've not been to a shelter because you felt they would be sad, dreary, dead-end places, you really need to stop in at CCHS. This shelter is a bright, clean and happy place where the pets are well-cared for and loved while they wait for their new homes.
CCHS is proud to be a no-kill shelter. Our service area includes Clark, Wood, Jackson and Chippewa counties. We are the fourth largest shelter in the state, and we're still growing. We'd be glad to give you a tour of the building and show you the pets available for adoption, too. We know you will be very happy with what you'll see here. You'll probably even want to join us and be part of this life-saving organization.
Don't forget to get your pet microchipped. Just call us during open hours to set up an appointment for this low-cost, life-saving service.
