City of Oshkosh explains storm water management projects

The Oshkosh Sustainability Advisory Board and the City of Oshkosh Storm Water Utility department wish to educate the public on storm water management as a way to mitigate flooding, address water pollution, and meet federal and state laws.

The major undertaking, to date, has been the construction of seven wet detention basins and a relief channel with additional projects planned. The Storm Water Utility bill each property pays funds these detention basin projects, so it is important to understand the need for wet detention basins within the city.
