Nancy Siebecker played the organ at First Presbyterian Church in Wausau during a Lenten concert on March 15. The church's last concert of this Lenten season is Friday at 12:15 p.m. and features organist Karmen Teigen and mezzo-soprano Shelly Bitner.
People have one final chance to enjoy a lunch time Organ Meditation concert at First Presbyterian Church, 406 Grant St.
Performances have been offered during the lenten season on Fridays. The performer for this week is Karmen Teigen, minister of music and worship at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and mezzo-soprano Shelly Bitner, choral director at Wesley Methodist Church.
The concert on Friday will feature organ, flute and piano with Bitner on vocals. Teigen said Bitner also will play flute on the piece "Wondrous Love" by Aaron David Miller, accompanied by Teigen on organ. The program also includes the works "Song of Penitence" by composer Ludwig van Beethoven and Johann Sebastian Bach's "Dorian Toccata."
The American Guild of Organists chapter organ concert is from 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. There is no charge but a free-will donation will be accepted.
