Wood County Board approves dangerous animal ordinance

Wood County Board members approved Tuesday the creation of a dangerous animal ordinance.

The new ordinance, which will go into effect once it's published, allows Wood County deputies and humane officers to determine an animal is dangerous and require the owner take precautions with it.

The ordinance will not be applicable in communities that already have dangerous animal ordinances, such as Wisconsin Rapids and Marshfield. ...
