I'm a proud Navy veteran and, like many Americans, I'm concerned about the turn this country has taken. We stand to lose everything those who came before and after us fought and died for.
The blame doesn't go only to politicians in both parties who have betrayed their oaths and the Constitution. The major blame falls on the American Christian church, regardless of denominational doctrines, by willingly muzzling themselves, fearing the IRS more than God. We believers must understand many so-called Christian churches are fighting against us.
Modern pastors seem to think preaching Christ and the Bible is no longer inerrant while they support heretical doctrines, such as the prosperity gospel (promoting personal wealth) where the only ones getting wealthy are the ear ticklers; teaching that there are many ways to heaven, when Jesus said narrow is the way; Chr-islam, blending the two faiths together; "fire" doctrines of deception, like gold-dust showers, angel feathers, gems, water into wine showboating as works of the Holy Spirit; gut-wrenching music; and "Harlem Shake" dancing in the sanctuaries.
I believe the modern church is out of sync with the true gospel. Instead of the cross and crucifixion, they're using fads for itching ears.
The Orthodox churches have forgotten their historic position as the conscience of our government and culture. Unless we return to Godly government, the Constitution and the religious people it was written for, we'll continue to decay morally. We deserve God's judgment. How many more warnings do we need because we believe we know more than God?
If God judged ancient Israel for following other gods, why wouldn't he judge us? His answer to our problems is in 2 Chronicles 7:14.
