Recent weather changes are torturing Wisconsinites who are spending their days indoors, wishing, hoping, and praying for a glimmer of sunshine and a warm spring breeze.

The vernal equinox signifying the start of spring arrived Wednesday with temperatures hovering in the teens. That is a far cry from last year, when Fond du Lac had a high temperature of 80 degrees and a low of 62 on the same date.

From "warm" temperatures in the 40s to a sub-zero wind chill index to snow falling, it's impossible to know lately what to expect on a day-to-day basis. This week, the temperature has ranged from 18 to 36 ...
