Add John Mayer to the list of Summerfest headliners.
The Grammy-winning singer and guitarist will kick off his "Born and Raised" Tour - his first major outing in three years - on July 6 at the Marcus Amphitheater.
Tickets will go on sale at noon March 30 through www.ticketmaster.com and (800) 745-3000. Prices have not yet been announced, but $1 from each ticket will benefit NCIRE's work on behalf of returning veterans.
On Thursday, Summerfest announced the Eagles will "Take It to the Limit'' for the final night of Summerfest with a headlining concert July 7.
It's a stop on the legendary band's "History of the Eagles" Tour, named for the documentary of the group that debuted on Showtime in February. Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit will play from the Eagles' extensive catalog as well as perform songs from each of their solo careers.
Tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. March 28 through Ticketmaster. Prices TBA.
The "History of the Eagles" documentary comes out on DVD and Blu-ray on April 30, featuring never-before-released performances from the band's two-night stand in 1977 at Washington, D.C.'s Capital Center.
