More than 30 starving rabbits found in 'horrific' conditions

The Oshkosh Humane Society impounded more than 30 rabbits and an assortment of other small animals found in "deplorable" conditions.

The Humane Society responded to a police impound on Saturday, March 16, and found the animals starving, packed tightly in cages and covered in excrement, executive director Joni Geiger said.

Animal rescue workers found 35 rabbits, a guinea pig, two beta fish, a turtle and a gerbil, Geiger said. They found two dead rabbits and two nearly dead, she said. ...
