Joe Sciascia and Joe Fischer will square off in the spring election for the judgeship in Branch 3 of Dodge County Circuit Court.

Sciascia, 59, the Dodge County Family Court commissioner, and Fischer, 42, a Watertown attorney, are seeking the judicial post of retiring Judge Andrew Bissonnette. Bissonnette has served on the bench since 1989. The six-year term will begin on Aug. 1.

Over the years, both Sciascia and Fischer have practiced law in and out of the courtroom. In his role as Family Court commissioner, Sciascia has presided over hearings for more than 28 years. ...
