The challenge of keeping the world's largest grandfather clock, a beloved landmark and tourist attraction in the city of Kewaunee for decades, close to home has taken a few steps closer to reality.

The Kewaunee City Council's request for ownership of the clock from the county was met with approval at the March 14 Kewaunee County Finance Committee.
