Victory over Lodi powers Kewaunee into third straight title game

The Kewaunee girls basketball team was always a step ahead in its 40-27 victory over Lodi (24-2) in the WIAA's Division 3 State Tournament semifinals on March 15 in Green Bay.

The Storm led the entire game, but it was anything than easy victory for the purple and gold. Lodi was always challenging Kewaunee's margin.

Early in the fourth quarter Lodi faced only a five-point deficit. For the first time in the second half the momentum was shifting to the Blue Devils. That's when Kelsey Stangel stood up and took the game back for the Storm. ...
