Marathon County Sheriff Randy Hoenisch to officially retire Saturday (with video)

Embattled Marathon County Sheriff Randy Hoenisch submitted his retirement papers to the county's clerk's office Wednesday, nearly a month after he announced his plan to step down as the county's top cop.

In a letter submitted to Marathon County Clerk Nan Kottke yesterday, the sheriff said he will vacate his office by Saturday. Kottke said she immediately mailed the papers to Gov. Scott Walker's office Wednesday.
