Supreme Court justice keys on her bench experience

The centerpiece of state Supreme Court Justice Pat Roggensack's campaign is her experience as a judge.

Since her opponent in the April 2 election, Marquette University law professor Ed Fallone, has never been a judge, Roggensack said that gives her an edge.

Yet, two fellow justices - Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson and David Prosser - weren't judges when they joined the court. When asked if they were similarly less qualified than she is to be a judge, Roggensack replied, "First of all, they were not running against an opponent. They were appointed. ...
