Windows smashed, purses taken from two vehicles on west side

Police are investigating two smash and grab thefts from vehicles parked in west side parking lots.

Oshkosh Police received a report that two purses were taken from vehicles parked in parking lots at Staples, 1126 S. Koeller St., and Perkins, 2005 W. Ninth Ave. In both incidents vehicle windows were smashed and the purse was taken, said Joe Nichols, spokesman for the Oshkosh Police Department.

Police believe the incidents, which were reported between 10:24 and 11:11 a.m., are related.
