Wausau West graduate Steven Monk lost one win short of earning All-America honors Friday night at the NCAA Division I wrestling championships.

The 165-pound Monk, of North Dakota State, won his first two consolation matches Friday but later lost in the round of 12. Only the top eight are named All-Americans. Monk, a junior, lost in the same round last year.
