Two Kronenwetter officials with differing leadership styles will face off in April's general election to take the seat of Village Board president.

Village Board member Geraldine Kowalski will challenge incumbent Judi Akey for the leadership position, and both women want to continue to make Kronenwetter a desirable place for families and businesses alike.

Kowalski and Akey met Monday during a Wausau Daily Herald Editorial Board meeting to discuss their views about the village's identity, a groundwater issue in two subdivisions and economic development. ...
