Town of Union: Hearing held about ATVs, UTVs on roads

Questions about the minimum age of operators and regulating heavier vehicles were raised at a hearing Tuesday on a town of Union proposed ordinance allowing all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and utility vehicles (UTVs) to operate on roads in the town.

As proposed, the ordinance would permit the use of the traditionally off-road vehicles on both named town roads and lettered county highways within the town boundaries.
