ASHWAUBENON - Firehouse Subs, 2665 S. Oneida St., suite E, is scheduled to open Tuesday.

The Ashwaubenon store is one of 42 expected to open in Wisconsin and northern Illnois in the next nine years. Florida-based Firehouse Subs has more than 580 locations nationwide.

Firehouse Subs was founded in Jacksonville, Fla., by two brothers who were firefighters and have a long family tradition in the fire service. The business operates a public safety foundation geared toward providing funding for training and equipment for first responders.

The location is decorated with local firefighter memorabilia donated by Ashwaubenon Public Safety Department and De Pere Fire Department, according to Firehouse Subs.

The store is open 10:30 a.m.-9 p.m. seven days a week.

The location is owned by Sheila Brenwall.
