The Central Wisconsin Airport traffic control tower will be one of 149 towers to close April 7 at small airports across the country.
The tower will close as a result of $85 billion in federal budget cuts that began March 1, leaving the Federal Aviation Administration to shave off $637 million from its budget for the rest of the fiscal year that ends Sept. 30.
