Waiting for warm weather? Spring into action now by visiting McMillan Library.

With more than 3 million books and other materials in the catalog we share with other South Central Library System members, we have something for everyone. Whether you need a novel to read or want a travel book to help plan a summer vacation, we can help. You will be surprised what you can find here.

The library also offers a wide range of online resources. Through our website, you can access a state-wide database to download ebooks and audiobooks. You can research products with the Consumer's Report website, learn a new language with Transparent Language or find book recommendations through Novelist. You can research companies with the AtoZ Database, practice for job tests with Learning Express and search for jobs with Career Cruising.

Do you need high-speed free access to the Internet? The library's computers and wireless Internet access are used more than 90,000 times each year. Our expert staff will give one-on-one help with computers every week on Tech Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Call the library at 715-422-5136 to reserve a time.

The library has a busy schedule of upcoming programs. At 7 p.m. April 11 the 2013 concert season continues with Tim Shelton & NewFound Road, one of America's best contemporary bluegrass bands. The Monday Movies series presents popular and critically acclaimed new films for adult audiences at 7 p.m. each Monday in March and April. Many of the films that won Academy Awards will be shown in the next few months.

Upcoming Family Fun Nights will feature musician Tom Pease on Tuesday, magician Norm Barnhart on April 9 and The Bassmeister on April 23. Popular family films will be shown on April 2, 16 and 30. All of these family programs begin at 6:30 p.m.

Other upcoming events for children include Yoga for Kids on Monday, a Super Mario Brothers Party on Thursday, and Lego Club on April 15. Teen programs will include Teen Book Club on Monday and a Teen Job Fair on April 22. For times and registration requirements, visit or call the library at 715-422-5131.

Take a break from your busy schedule at the McMillan Coffeehouse. In addition to great coffee from Madison's Ancora Coffee Roasters and wonderful baked goods, the Coffeehouse now offers gourmet soups in several flavors. The McMillan Coffeehouse is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Make McMillan Library your home away from home. Visit the library, visit our website www.mcmillanlibrary.org, or call us at 715-422-5136 for more information about library programs and services.
