After hearing from a bevy of supporters and critics about new bike lanes on Mason Street, the city will consider a set of options to preserve parking at a special meeting next Tuesday.

Paula Vandehey, the city's public works director, said the current plan is for two 6-foot bike lanes from Prospect Avenue north to Hillock Court. The only costs are for striping and signage, she said.

But concerns have been raised over the removal of street parking, especially near Grace Lutheran Church, Lincoln Elementary School and St. Matthew Lutheran Church. ...
