Outlet store one of Goodwill's newest green effort...: Goodwill Industries, a leader in recycle, reuse and repurpose efforts, has opened an outlet store in Appleton. The store gives items that do not sell in Goodwill retail stores a final chance with shoppers.

Environmental stewardship is in the very fabric of Goodwill Industries of North Central Wisconsin's operations.

The nonprofit group - one of 166 Goodwill organizations in North America - is a community leader in recycling, reusing and repurposing.

"We are green in our DNA," said Mary Haller, vice president of logistics and supply chain for Goodwill Industries of North Central Wisconsin. "We believe that lean and green fit hand in hand together. It's about ways to add value to the customer while reducing waste throughout the processing." ...
