Brian M. Cooper trial rescheduled for June

Door County Judge D. Todd Ehlers on Monday gave Brian M. Cooper's attorney another 10 weeks to prepare for his defendant's double-homicide trial.

Cooper, 36, was scheduled to stand trial starting April 5 in the deaths of Alisha Bromfield and her unborn daughter. He has pleaded not guilty and not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect to two counts of first-degree intentional homicide and one count of third-degree sexual assault.
