The Green Bay School District will use a $1.5 million grant in an effort to boost academics at Fort Howard Elementary School, which was identified as needing improvement under a federal accountability system.

Fort Howard Elementary was one of four Green Bay schools targeted for change as Wisconsin moved forward with its application for a waiver from the federal No Child Left Behind law, which it received. The others are Eisenhower, Danz and Nicolet elementary schools.
