About 70 people hoping for stardom turned out Sunday afternoon for open casting for the CBS show "Big Brother," held at the Green Bay Distillery.

Stardom was only part of it. Some also were interested in a chance to win $500,000 on the show, which puts about a dozen people into a single household for three months and forces them through a variety of unpleasant tasks, including a regular vote to evict one another over the course of the broadcast season until just one is left.

The houseguests all must live under constant scrutiny from TV cameras and from the voice-over character known as Big Brother. ...
