Second Oconto Falls man charged in connection with Chad McLean murder

A 54-year-old Oconto Falls man has been charged with lying during a court hearing last year in connection with the 1998 murder of Chad McLean.

Charles Mlados was arrested Friday and faces two felony counts of perjury before a judge for making alleged false statements Nov. 2 during a John Doe hearing in Oconto County Court. Mlados is expected to appear for a bond hearing Monday afternoon. If convicted, he faces up to 12 years in prison.

McLean was last seen Feb. 22, 1998, and his body was found a month later in the Pensaukee River in Oconto County. It was determined he had died from multiple gunshot ...
