Stevens Point's EgoCon marks 50th year of 'Dr. Who' (with video)

Paulette Imhoff says it takes all year to organize EgoCon, but it is always worth it, especially this year.

The annual event, celebrating science fiction, fantasy and gaming, was held Saturday at the Elizabeth Inn. It's presented by the North Eastern Wisconsin Friends of the Doctor, a group dedicated to "Dr. Who," a British science fiction television series.

The program, which began in 1963, chronicles the adventures of a Time Lord known as the Doctor, who explores the universe in a time machine and spaceship known as a TARDIS. ...
