Jill Millis knew changes needed to be made.

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point softball coach watched one player after another miss games and significant stretches of the 2012 season with injuries and illness.

It was getting to the point where putting nine or 10 healthy players in the lineup was becoming a juggling act. The injury issues were a clear indication to Millis the players weren't in very good condition when they arrived for fall practice. ...
