Syringe, lighter found in car

A 24-year-old Rothschild man killed in a collision on the Thomas Street bridge is identified as Michael Dixon. In a news release this afternoon, Wausau Police said a syringe, spoon and lighter were found in the vehicle Dixon was driving.

A four-year-old child who was in the vehicle was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Police have not revealed if the child and driver are related or where the child is from.

Police are waiting for toxicology test results to determine if drugs or alcohol were a factor in Saturday's crash. Toxicology reports should be available in a few weeks. ...
