Letter: Family Fun Night was terrific and promoted family involvement

School fun night got family involved

EDITOR: I recently attended a Family Fun Night at John Muir Middle School. I went with my granddaughter and we had a great time. I played dodgeball with the kids and all I can say is that "respect your elders" went right out the window; those kids are ruthless. My daughter is pregnant and could not attend, so Super Grandma stepped in. The kids don't care, they love it.

My other daughter is a teacher in Baraboo. We have talked about how to get the most out of education, and one of the most important factors of happy students is family participation. Not sure who had most fun at the family night, but I'm sure my aches and pains are well worth it. Thanks for all who arranged the evening.
