Men's basketball: Pair of UWGB freshmen intend to transfer

With future playing time unlikely, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay freshmen Nick Arenz and Ryan Bross have told coach Brian Wardle they intend to transfer.

Because Arenz was on scholarship, he will need his release from the school before he can pursue other opportunities, but Wardle said Monday that Arenz would receive his release, likely this week. Bross was a walk-on who redshirted last season because he wasn't on scholarship and does not need to be released.

The 6-foot-8 Arenz played in just 16 of 33 games for the Phoenix and averaged less than one point and one rebound per game. He played ...
