10 YEARS AGO: The new hotel-conference center developers vow to break ground in June. Marshfield Common Council members agreed unanimously to extend the closing date of conveyance of property from April 30 to June 15.

The staff members and children of ABC Daycare, located in Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield, have collected items to send to American troops in the Mideast. Items include personal care items, microwave popcorn, board games and books.

25 YEARS AGO: Two members of Boy Scout Troop 381 recently were awarded their Eagle badges. They are Brian Wiltgen, 13, son of Dennis and Judith Wiltgen, and Jeremy Donath, 14, son of Roland and Nancy Donath, all of Marshfield.

50 YEARS AGO: With a little green trimming, the Marshfield Armory might have been passed off as Sherwood Forest recently. More than 200 bowmen from all across Wisconsin competed in the annual state archery tournament.

75 YEARS AGO: New school safety signs representing a school patrol boy directing traffic, were placed at all main intersections near the city schools yesterday. It is the first time signs of this type have been used in Marshfield.
