Maundy Thursday service features music of Taize

The congregations of First Congregational Church and the Emmaus Ecumenical Catholic Community will observe a Maundy Thursday Tenebrae service this Thursday, March 28 at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of First Congregational Church, 137 Algoma Blvd. After sharing in the Lord's Supper together, a series of readings from Mark's gospel will recall the events of that night, and with each reading the sanctuary grows darker, symbolizing the various betrayals of Jesus. The service ends in silence.

The service will be enriched by "Taize" songs led by four singers - Christina Conn, Bridget Duffy, Cathy ...
