Agreement may enhance Internet service in town

A low-lying area in the town of Nasewaupee where high-speed Internet service is unavailable could get coverage under a proposal considered Thursday by the Town Board.

Nate Bell - representing NEWWIS Internet Service, based in the town of Gibraltar - proposed a partnership with the town in erecting a tower in the vicinity of a former landfill off Odegard Road in Nasewaupee.

Under the plan, the town would advance the $6,857 cost for the tower that mount an antenna to provide wireless Internet service to residents along the Green Bay shore not reached by conventional methods -- DSL phone lines, ...
