Write-in votes will decide town of Forestville post

No one took out papers to run as one of the two supervisors on the Forestville Town Board-which means any town resident who receives the highest number of write-in votes on Tuesday will win. If no one writes in a candidate, a supervisor will be appointed by the board.

The vacancy occurred because incumbent town Supervisor Roy Englebert filed to run as town chairman. The current chairman, Gerald Uecker, chose not to seek another term. Englebert also serves on the Door County Board representing ward 2 of the town of Forestville, the town of Clay Banks, and the village of Forestville.

The town's other incumbent supervisor, Jason Tlachac, is running unopposed. Town Clerk Ruth Kerscher and Treasurer Dena Schmidt also have no opponents.
