School board candidate John R. Daggett died Saturday, leaving two incumbents as the only candidates on the ballot for the April 2 election.

Daggett, 70, was a perennial candidate for offices ranging from local to federal levels. His name will remain on the ballot for the April 2 election.

According to police records, a city parks department employee found Daggett in Menominee Park on March 13 and performed CPR. Daggett was conscious but not alert and appeared to be having heart problems. Police responded and he was taken to Aurora Medical Center, where, according to his obituary, he died on ...
