Library marks special week by helping community

Every day more than 1,000 people visit the Marathon County Public Library, either our Wausau Headquarters location or one of our eight branches. Not everyone is coming to check out books, however. Many come to use our computers and free wireless service, others come to read newspapers and magazines, and others come for our story times and other special events.

The real purpose of a library is to amass and disseminate knowledge and to provide resources to help educate people in our communities. It's a purpose we celebrate every day, but between April 14 and 20 we're going to celebrate extra as we ...
