Kaukauna administrators are investigating a report of bullying at River View Middle School after a Facebook post about it exploded on the social media platform.

Administrators held a news conference Wednesday afternoon to address the claims in the post written by Matthew Bent, who said school officials ignored his son's pleas for protection from the bully.

"We, as a school district, understand the deep frustration that the father, the mother and the son, as well as the community are feeling about an incident like this, as well as perhaps others," said Superintendent Mark Duerwaechter. ...
