Wis. drops to 44th in private-sector job creation

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - New quarterly figures from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics show Wisconsin has dropped to 44th in the nation for creating private-sector jobs.

The data covers the year-long period that ended in September, and reflected a recent steady decline. Wisconsin had ranked 42nd for the year-long period that ended one quarter earlier, and 37th two quarters earlier.
